Textile exports to European market to acclerate

Karachi —The textile exports are likely to take momentum in the wake of flexibility being shown by European Union towards in terms of anti-dumping duty as well as market access for Pakistan products following friendly gestures of Obama administration. Meanwhile the 6th Textile Asia 2009 International textile and garments machinery show mirroring the impressive growth and innovation achieved by the textile industry in Pakistan was inaugurated by Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Federal advisor on textiles in Karachi.

The mega event participated by 32 countries added value to the international event with the presence of global textile players including China, India, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Turkey, Czech Repu8blic, Sweden, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Belgium and the United States.

The textile show has been designed in a way to display textile products as well as 329 international brands of textile machinery and equipment adding a meaningful description of the textile scenario at present. The magnetic attraction of the international textile exhibition is reflected in the fact that it was witnessed by over 152 foreign delegates while over 30,000 trade and corporate representatives visiting the unique event.
