Sichuan Steel Pipe suffers AD in US

It is reported that US seven steel producers and USWA have filed antidumping and anti-subsidy complaints to Department of Commerce and ITC on the imports of high-quality steel pipe from China, which involves 212 Chinese steel suppliers. Mr Yang Fengling, vice GM of Pangang Group's Oil Steel Pipe Company, tells the reporters that it also include Pangang Group.
As reported, US Oil Pipe Company has cut nearly 2,000 staff, which all attributes to the imports of China's steel pipe. When hearing this matter, China leading mills, like Pangang, Baosteel and Angang etc all expressed that they decide to face the prosecutions together.
In reality, the industry's problems have been caused by the global steel pipe downturn rather than dumping and subsidization. Yang noted that the orders they mostly received are posted at CNY 8,000 per tonne last year, but they fell to CNY 4,000 per tonne this year. Mr Yang said the company would actively cope with the antidumping case, and won't easily give up the American market.
Pangang is the largest steel exporter in Sichuan province, China. Mr Yang revealed the antidumping and anti-subsidization accusations won't exert too many impacts to Pangang.
