How has WTO affected Vietnamese import- export enterprises after 3 months since Vietnam became full member of WTO? According to Ms Pham Chi Lan- senior economic specialist- the most urgent activities they should take are to study WTO and regional commitments; more careful in signing contract as well as selecting business partners, markets.
In her speech, Ms Pham Chi Lan also stated that in post-WTO era, Vietnamese enterprises need to establish professional business style by giving up practices lke solicitation, non-transparency, copycat, imitation, etc. In addition, they have to think globally and conduct business towards “win-win” situation.
*In his speech at the seminar “Vietnam-Singapore trade promotion 2007” held by Hochiminh city Young Enterprise Association and Vietnam Global Gateway Company on April 18th, Vice president of Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) Lim King Boon announced that foreign investors are encouraged to set up business in Singapore. He also added that the Government would support by providing them and their family with comfortable accomodation.
Many Vietnamese enterprises are now interested in establishing business in Singapore, particularly in getting information about listing on Singaporean stock market.
