EU to Reduce Antidumping Duties for Interpipe
09/12/2008 12:00
The Euro Commission proposes to keep antidumping duties for Ukrainian pipes at a 44.1% level but to reduce them for Interpipe's products to 10.7%. This reduction of duties is a result of an antidumping search which was initiated by Interpipe at the end of 2007. The Commission notes that Interpipe is the only one of the 7 Ukrainian pipe companies which cooperated with them and therefore in the absence of any real evidence, the others will need to comply with the existing duties.
This news is undoubtedly positive for Niznodneprovsky Pipe-Rolling Plant < NITR UZ UR > and Novomoskovsk Pipe Plant < NVTR UZ UR > whom will benefit from the new duties. We note the efforts of Interpipe’s management in working closely with the Commission and would emphasize the professionalism of their policy.
