EU Probes China Seamless Steel Pipes of Larger Caliber

On February 16, the European Commission announced starting an antidumping probe into seamless steel pipes (diameter over 406.4mm) from China under HS Codes 73041990, 7042990, 73043998, 73045999, which is the first trade remedy by the EU against China in 2013.
In 2008, the EU made its antidumping probe into China seamless steel pipes with diameter below 406.4mm and set final duty rates of 17.7%-39.2% on them.
In 2012, such Chinese exports to the EU totaled about USD 91.53 million.
