EU files formal case against the US on anti-dumping tax

World Trade Organization (WTO) has recently initiated a new official investigation after EU continued to take proceedings against the US for imposing anti-dumping tax on 52 EU products exports to the US market, including steel, chemical and vermicelli.
EU claimed that the US violated the WTO trade rules on applying the anti-dumping tax counting method with EU products. In Oct.2006 EU also proceeded against the US for the similar reasons. Source from the WTO's disputes settlement panel says that it would take 9 months to issue the final conclusion.
On June 4, Argentina suggested being allowed to impose annual punishment tax up to 44 million dollars on some kinds of the US goods by WTO. This is a retaliatory action when Washington did not abolish anti-dumping tax on Argentina’s petrochemical products, which was decided to violate the international trade regulations as the WTO’s ruling.
