EU exempts and lowers tax for importing aquatic products

Council of EU Minister has just approved a proposal to lower importing tax for some kind of aquatic products from the third countries in order to help EU aquatic process industry easier approach cheap materials sources.
According to approved proposal, many aquatic products imported to EU will be tax-exemption. Manufacturing products will be imposed the importing tax from 4 to 6%.
High importing tax was always the barrier that reduced competitiveness of EU aquatic processing industry. Therefore, EU aquatic processors did their best making petition in changing tax rate. However, lowering tax proposal has been postponed up to now because of different interest between member countries.
