Egypt: Sugar producers lower prices in face of dumping

A number of state-owned sugar production companies decided to slash prices of their products to overcome the dumping of the local market by imported sugar.
On November 29, 2012, the Egyptian government imposed anti-dumping charges on raw and white sugar imports at 17% and 20% respectively for 200 days.
