Rulings still pending on several other products
WASHINGTON — Stanley Furniture's convertible cribs are not subject to U.S. antidumping duties on Chinese-made wooden bedroom furniture, according to the Department of Commerce.
The agency reported today on the status of several inquiries on which items are covered by the antidumping order.
Some were still pending at the end of 2008, including Armel Enterprises on certain children's playroom and accent furniture; retailer Target on its Shabby Chic secretary desk and mirror; Zinus Inc. and Xiamen Inc. on the Smartbox mattress support and box spring; Acme Furniture Inds. on certain mattress supports.
The DOC initially assigned duties in 2004 as a result of the U.S. government's investigation into alleged dumping, or selling at prices deemed below normal value in the U.S. market.
