(US Trade Officials: Indian Matches Are Being Dumped In US, published at 4:53 p.m. EDT, incorrectly stated the government agency which made the determination in this trade dispute. The correct version follows.)

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--The U.S. Department of Commerce on Friday said it has determined that certain matchbooks from India are being sold in the U.S. at less than fair market value.

Commerce is recommending anti-dumping duties of 66.07% be placed on the imported matchbooks to account for the discounts from normal value at which they are being sold. It also is recommending a countervailing duties of 9.88% to account for government subsidies provided to Indian matchbook makers.

U.S. trade officials must still determine whether the products are harming domestic producers. Should the matchbooks be found damaging to domestic producers, the U.S. would keep punitive duties collected from Indian match exporters.
