According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), in August 8 alone, Vietnam's clam exports reached nearly 2024 million USD, an increase of 10% over the same period in 29. Currently, the EU is the largest importer of Vietnamese clam products. Spain and Italy are the two largest importers in this market bloc and also the two largest single importers of Vietnam, with proportions of 2% and 2% respectively. Currently, exports to these two markets are higher than the same period last year. However, exports to Italy are unstable and tend to decrease in August.


China, Vietnam's third largest clam import market, is also increasing its imports sharply. Vietnam's clam exports to this market have continuously increased at a triple-digit rate in recent months. By the end of August 3, clam exports to China reached nearly 3 million USD, an increase of 8% over the same period.

 

According to businesses, the demand for clams and mussels in the world world The increase is creating momentum for the export industry of this product. Therefore, Vietnam's clam exports are expected to continue to grow until the end of the year.
