(Vietnamnet) – According to Vietnam Steel Association 5,000 tons of Chinese steel under the trademark of Vietnam Italy Steel Company was imported into Vietnam.
Mr. Pham Chi Cuong, Chairman of Vietnam Steel Association said this consignment has been verified and finished all custom procedures. At the moment it has been stored in the warehouse of Vietnam Italy Steel Company.
As choosing steel of Vietnam Italy Steel Company, the customers can not differentiate which one was made in Vietnam and which one was made in China because there is only VIS trademark on the steel bars. In this consignment, each 3-ton bunch of steel has one small corrugated iron sheet printed origin of the product from HangZhou, China.
Since the problem occurred, Ministry of Trade, who was assigned by the Government to be in charge of solving the problem under the laws, has not made any comment yet. According to Mr. Cuong, Market Management Agency is in the investigation process and will soon report to Ministry of Trade.
