Chinese Companies Stocked Anti-dumping Polyamide-6 granula

BEIJING, Oct 20, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- HON | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- More than 80% Chinese companies did not sell Polyamide-6 granula on October 19, 2009 as the Ministry of Commerce decided to levy anti-dumping tax on the kind of products.

14 foreign companies, including world well-known chemical companies like BASF SE, Honeywell, and DSM, will act in accordance with the Chinese new anti-dumping tax rate.

Once the news was disclosed, Polyamide-6 granula makers in China paused selling the products and some even lifted selling prices.

An executive at Guangdong Xinhui Meida Nylon Co., Ltd., which is a Chinese company applying for an anti-dumping investigation on the imported Polyamide-6 granula, said that the Guandong company did not sell the products today, adding that the price has maintained CNY 18,500 a ton on average for a month.

Price of conventional-spinning Polyamide-6 granula hit about CNY 17,000 a ton on October 19, growing to CNY 17,500 a ton to CNY 18,000 a ton on October 20 suddenly.
