China starts acrylic fiber anti-dumping investigation

BEIJING, July 14 -- The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) on Tuesday beganlooking into allegations of the dumping of acrylic fiber imported from Japan,the Republic of Korea and Turkey.
The MoC will try to determine whether the imports have damaged domesticproducers' interests and if their interests have been affected, the ministrysaid in a statement.
The investigation started on July 14, the statement said.
Acrylic fibers are widely used in the clothes manufacturing sector.
