Ministry of Commerce of China on Wednesday has officially re-levied anti-dumping tax on dichloromethane imported from England, America, Holland, Germany and Korea. This duty would be effective for 5 years according to Ministry of Commerce of China

This decision was made right after the completion of the investigation started on 15th August last year on the damages caused by these chemical substances to domestic industry.

The investigation showed that chemical substances imported from the above countries could cause injury to domestic companies.
On 16th August 2001, Ministry of Commerce started collecting 5 year-long-anti-dumping tax towards dichloromethane which has been broadly used as an industrial solvent.

As Chinese anti-dumping regulations, domestic industries can send their request to the Ministry of Commerce to re-investigate the imported dichloromethane prior to its expiry date.

The declaration of Ministry of Commerce in June 2002 showed that dichloromethane importers including BP chemical trading Company, Vulcan Material Company, Samsung Chemical Company were taxed with the anti-dumping rate from 4 to 66 %.
