BEIJING, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Commerce announced on Friday that it would start an anti-dumping investigation on imported polyamide-6,6 with immediate effect.
The ministry said the products in question were imported from the United States, Italy, Britain, France and Taiwan.
The investigation will involve dumping, dumping margins and the damage to the domestic polyamide-6,6 industry.
The ministry would conclude the investigation before Nov. 14, 2009. It could be extended to May 14, 2010, under special conditions.
Polyamide-6,6 is a chemical used to produce synthetic fibers and plastics.
During the first five months, China imported about 95,200 tonnes of the chemical, worth about 294.1 million U.S. dollars.
