This was an anti-dumping investigation initiated by the U.S.Department of Commerce (DOC) on July 23, 2013 against Certain Oil Country Tubular Goods imported from 9 countries including Vietnam.
Petitioners: United States Steel Corporation (Pittsburgh, PA), Maverick Tube Corporation (Houston, TX), Boomerang Tube LLC (Chesterfield, MO), Energex Tube (Chicago, IL), Northwest Pipe Company (Vancouver, WA), Tejas Tubular Products Inc. (Houston, TX), TMK IPSCO (Houston, TX), Vallourec Star, L.P. (Houston, TX), and WeldedTube USA, Inc. (Lackawanna, NY).
The alleged dumping margin imposed on Vietnamese steel pipes is 103.43–111.47 percent.
On August 16, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has determined that the US steel sector has been damaged by such imported products.
Following US Government procedure, DOC will now continue with preliminary investigations into Certain Oil Country Tubular Goods and will be scheduled to make its preliminary AD determinations in December 2013 unless the statutory deadlines are extended.
