US imposes anti-dumping tariffs on thermal paper imports

The USA will impose anti-dumping tariffs on thermal paper imports from Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Spain.
On the basis of positive definite findings of the US Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission (ITC), the USA will impose anti-dumping tariffs on thermal paper imports from Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Spain.
The anti-dumping tariffs amount to 2.90 per cent for Papierfabrik August Koehler SE and also for other suppliers from Germany, to 140.25 per cent for Nippon Paper Industries Co, Ltd./Nippon Paper Papylia Co, Ltd, to 135.06 per cent for other suppliers from Japan, to 6.19 per cent for Hansol Paper Company and for other suppliers from Korea, to 41.45 per cent for Torraspapel and to 37.07 per cent for other suppliers from Spain.
In October 2020, Appvion Operations, Inc., Appleton, Wisconsin, and Domtar Corporation, Fort Mill, South Carolina, filed a corresponding petition with the Commission and the Department of Commerce.
