There remains bright prospects moving forward for Vietnamese coffee exports to Morocco due to the North African country having a huge demand for coffee, especially unroasted coffee products, according to the Vietnamese Trade Office in Morocco.

The Finance Ministry has revoked the definitive anti-dumping duty that was originally imposed in August 2016 on certain Viscose Staple Fibre (VSF) from China and Indonesia. This duty, which was to lapse on August 8, was on June 30 this year extended till October 31, but now removed permanently.

The UK has extended the anti-dumping duty on welded tube and pipe from Belarus and China till 30 January 2026, but only for three of the four UK Global Tariff commodity codes to which it previously applied.

Exports of Vietnamese agricultural products via border gates to China are facing numerous difficulties. Ministries, localities and branches from the two countries are urged to make greater efforts in facilitating the clearance of these products, senior officials have said.

In the case of a "red card" penalty, the most immediate and direct impact on Vietnamese seafood will be the EC's trade ban. At that time, it is estimated that Vietnam's seafood industry would lose about US$480 million per year if it lost the EU market. Therefore, more efforts must be made to remove the "yellow card".

The Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) has made the final determination on its investigation into the dumping and subsidising of certain upholstered domestic seating from China and Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV).

Without a stronger effort to remove the E.U. “yellow card”, Vietnam’s fishing industry may lose $480 million worth of exports annually.
