A Vietnamese consumer goods week kicked off at the Carrefour supermarket in Collégien city of France on November 4, with the presence of Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, in the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to France.

The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) has concluded that Vietnamese exporters were not dumping copper pipes in Australia due to inconsiderable dumping margins, reported the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Remedies Authority.

The US Trade Representative said on Tuesday she supported updating American trade laws to combat circumvention of existing anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties, including tools aimed at subsidised Chinese investment in steel production elsewhere in Southeast Asia.

On its face, the deal is straightforward. The U.S. will replace its 25% tariff on steel and 10% tariff on aluminum with a tariff-rate quota, or TRQ, that allows a certain amount of imports into the U.S. free of those levies.
